Beaches - Almunecar

There are many beaches on the coasta tropical, which is approximately a 25 minute drive from Sol Montana. The main towns are Mortril, Salobrena, Almunecar and Heradurra.
Each of the towns has a different number of beaches, with a mixture of sand and pebble surface. All of the beaches are very clean and have good facilities, ranging from bed chairs and parasols to restaurants, pedalows and other water sport activities. Each of the villages vary in distance from Sol Montana from the closest at Mortril being 25 minutes to the longest being Almunecar being 50 minutes.
Almunecar Beaches - on the Costa Tropical
Almunecars mild winter and long hot summer means there's a lively seafront scene throughout the year. In the winter months you can sunbathe here in the morning and be ski-ing on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada in the afternoon. Puerta del Mar Beach is the most popular beach here.
Almunecar Cotobro Beach - on the Costa Tropical
Cotobro Beach is just before the road drops down to Almunecar and on the left hand bend you will see a sign for Cotobro. This is the short cut down to the beach at the very west of Almunecar beach.
Almunecar El Muerto Beach - on the Costa Tropical
El Muerto Beach is accessible on foot from Cotobro beach, this mixture of secluded shingle coves and rocks is officially recognised as a natural bathing area. This beach is surrounded by big rocks.
Almunecar San Cristobal Beach - on the Costa Tropical
San Cristobal Beach has light-coloured, fairly fine sand. The beach is located in the western part of Almunecar and is the site of numerous restaurants, beach bars and hotels.
Almunecar Puerta del Mar Beach - on the Costa Tropical
Puerta del Mar beach is situated next to San Cristobal beach and La Caletilla Beach, it has a beautiful promenade that goes through the whole beach. This beach is very popular.
Almunecar Velilla Beach - on the Costa Tropical
Velilla Beach has 2km of sand and shingle beach running the full length of Velilla. Bars, restaurants and shops are available all along the front, and there's a water sports centre in the middle of the beach.
Almunecar El Tesorillo Beach - on the Costa Tropical
El Tesorillo Beach is a very small beach flanked by rocks and overlooked by an ancient Moorish watch tower, only 80 metres long and it is very much visited. It is one of Almunecar's most delightful beaches.
Almunecar Pozuleo Beach - on the Costa Tropical
The Pozuleo beach is very small and is barely explored by tourists, there is a small promenade that invites you for a walk. If you don't like beaches full of tourists and want to relax this is the beach of choice.
Almunecar Calabajio Beach - on the Costa Tropical
Calabajio Beach is 313 metres long and roughly 30 metres wide with an average grade of occupation and a grade of rural urban development. The beach consists of a dark colour sand and pebbles.
Almunecar Cabria Beach - on the Costa Tropical
Cabria beach is not the most urbanised of Almunecars beaches and is part of a succession of small beaches in this zone. Set a little off the prinicipal centre of Almunecar, the public flow is moderated.
Almunecar Curumbico Beach - on the Costa Tropical
Curumbico beach is a particularly pretty cove, reched via a path through the rocks from neighbouring Cabria Beach. The Curumbico beach has fine dark sand.
Almunecar Barranco de Enmedio Beach - on the Costa Tropical
Barranco de Enmedio is a small but attractive beach in the shape of a clam. The surface is of dark sand mixed with pebbles. It presents a calmed surge making this an ideal swimming spot.
